LUSH | Summer Haul Part Two | Cleansers, Scrubs and Jellies

One of the things I can't get enough of from Lush is their scrubs, shower jellies, cleansers and face masks - and definitely go over haul when buying them. Continuing on from my Part 1 Lush Summer Haul...delve with me into the land of my favourite recent Lush pots!

So, this is the mass of stuff I got - too much for one person to use in the time it will be until I know I will go to Lush next, especially now there is a large Lush shop just a three minute walk from my flat! I got a variety of products from ones I have used before and loved so much, and some new and exciting products I can't wait to try from bath bombs to soaps to face masks!

Cleansers, Scrubs & Jellies

Mask of Magnaminty [left]
"A multi-purpose mask with a mixture of gentle yet effective ingredients to clean, calm and clear your skin. Easily smoothed over the skin, this mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as your remove it. You can use this mask anywhere"

I really love the Mask of Magnaminty. It does have a little bit of a strange colour, being like a pale seaweed green colour, which can be a little off putting to smudge all over your face and body, but the smell definitely makes you feel better about this. It's quite a thick face mask, and therefore a little bit of a pain in the bum to get off without getting bits of stuff everywhere. Although, despite the messiness, I can't deny it does do wonders for your skin, especially if you have flaky skin or dry skin. I found it also brings out the impurities in my skin, meaning your skin can by quite spotty the following day with all the nastiness being cleared out, but by using this one day and exfoliating with just soap the next gives a really hydrated, smooth feel to your skin, and it's mega spot free!

Let The Good Times Roll [top right]
"This face and body cleanser is a gentle treat for the skin, leaving you soft to the touch with a buttery popcorn fragrance. Maize flour and polenta gently exfoliate, whilst cinnamon powder stimulates and leaves you feeling fresh and revived, with beautifully soft skin. This gentle yet scrubby cleanser will soothe and soften your skin, giving it a natural glow"

There is something I find incredibly odd about putting things that smell quite strongly of food, especially food which you don't usually use in masks and beauty products like cinnamon and popcorn on your face, and I find the sweet popcorn smell a little weird, although the smooth texture of the cleanser it's quite refreshing. It takes a little work and some hand-heat to get the texture smooth enough to use on your face, but once you get it to a good consistency, it's really good for getting off those last little bits of makeup off and leaving you feeling refreshed for a nights sleep or a non-makeup day. Once you get over the initial weird smell, the good times definitely roll...

Sweetie Pie [bottom right]
"The sweetest shower jelly! Between the fruity fragrance, the iridescent glitter that leaves a sparkle on your skin, and the seaweed base that leaves your skin feeling softened and refreshed, it's irresistible. And while we know that blackcurrant and sour cherry wobbler smells good enough to eat, it's recommended that you curb your cravings and hop in the shower and wash with Sweetie Pie instead (and your hair too!) for a sweet yet sophisticated cleansing experience"

This shower and hair gel has such an incredibly strong, sweet smell to it - and it's clear why as just the smallest amount makes enough bubbles to clean all your body and your hair as well - although if you take a big sniff of the pot it can make you feel a little light headed. I love the deep purple colour and the glittery tint. I'm usually a little wary about using products with glitter in or 'glowing agent' as they tend to be a bit too glittery for me, like the few times I have used my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation and have had comments asking if I have been wearing glitter when under harsh light - not something you want to be asked unless at a party where glitter is acceptable! Although, I was really surprised that the glitter washed away really well, yet made me feel like my skin was still glowing. I really like the softness it brings to my skin, although I wouldn't recommend using it on your hair if, like me, your hair is prone to being greasy after one or two days without washing it as after just a few hours, I felt like my hair was greasy, so I've only used it once to wash my hair - I'll be sticking to using it as a shower gel thank you!

Have you bought anything from Lush recently? Let me know if you have tried any of the products above, or what your favourite products to get from this incredible store are in the comments below.
